DARK LONELY STREETS

A 67 year old man and his wife (he retired after 35 years as a mechanic, she, after 25 years as a director of a day-care center)

Their retirement income was around $55,000.00 a year.

Together they contributed $25.00 to a conservative candidate for president.

They both attended a conservative "Taxed Enough Already" meeting to hear the groups views, and again donated $25.00 to the organization.

They had a friend who was Jewish and talked to them, about a fund set up to help Americans kids who were Jewish to take an educational trip to Israel and the Holy Land.  They chipped in another $25.00 bucks.

They also attended a Christian Church Dinner, a fund raiser to improve the baptistery, and fix a leaky roof and acquire new robes for the choir, then this good man was asked to give  a prayer, addressing God, giving thanks for the freedoms they enjoy, thanks for the bounty before them, thanks for those who bring and teach the word God and Christ, asking that hearts be turned to give generously to the church, closing in the name of Jesus Christ.

They left the meeting feeling pretty good about themselves and their safe lives, freedom of speech and thought, freedom of religion and the right to bear arms and protect your castle and love ones.

They chose to walk that night as it was a beautiful evening and only a mile way.

As they turned down a path through a county park they noticed that the pathway lights were dark, it was only a short distance through the park.

As they took a few steps into the dark they were confronted by two men, both black who immediately began to ask questions, such as why did you give money to a political opposition party? Why did you give money to our opponent?  Why did you give money to Jews? Why did you give money to a Christian Church?  What did you say in your prayer offered in that church?

Both men said together "We are watching you and your ilk,  you rebel rousers and fellow travelers to the Christians and Constitutionalists.  Beware, we know where you live and what you do and the ability to squeeze you, using the IRS, NSA, DOJ, EPA and a myriad of lackeys will crush you.

The couple in shock, only thought they heard one black man say, That went well Eric," while the other replied, "I agree Barack."
