I just saw a couple of millionaire, pampered prima donnas on the cover of some mag rag and they were being touted as American hero's.
What kind of crap is this. These people spend their live playing at sports, visiting Vail, Park City, Mammoth, Whistler and dozens of other fancy pants resorts. Eating caviar, lobster, prime rib, and belching the finest wines and beers available. After a day on the slopes they retire to the sauna and a massage.
Never should they be called or even thought of as hero's.
Heroes are the men and women of the armed forces who live in the worst of conditions, dirty, dry, dusty, or frozen tundra. No air-conditioning, no heating, no California king bed to flop your body onto, no massage after a day in the field.
Other hero's are America's firefighters, law enforcement and all first responders.
I would like to see all Olympic events have at least five snipers in the surrounding are taking shots at the Olympians. Then let's see how many of them show up.
