I have mentioned this on several blogs and will do so again and will as long as there are Americans going hungry in the worlds cornucopia.
Every fat cat politician (which is every politician) should have their feet held to the fire until every American has adequate to eat and the SNAP program (formerly known as Food Stamps) is not the answer.
What has brought me to this again is an article in the latest issue of National Geographic magazine entitled "The New Face of Hunger" by Tracie McMillan.
This should make every American who threw away some food today or whose children refused to eat their vegetables feel guilty and shamed for their bountiful blessings.
While 49,000,000 (that's million) Americans go hungry, Obama along with hundreds of fat cat democrats eat tonight, tomorrow, and the next day on lobster, salmon, caviar, fillet, shrimp, halibut drinks fine wine and champagne.
49 million Americans are what the article refers to as "food insecure", this means that by the end of the month their food is running so low that perhaps only white bead, boxed mac and cheese and chicken nuggets are available.
Roughly 1/2 of those who are food insecure are white working families, where at least one member works full time. The others are black and hispanic.
Another 2 million are what is called "chronically hungry", these are mostly black and hispanic with a percentage of whites.
