When we the people vote as we do in a republic and not a democracy, we select an individual to represent us in the House or the Senate. In a true democracy, we the people would vote on everything, and the popular vote would then prevail. This is what the Dark Side would like to do with the Presidential vote. A national vote with no controls to ensure that the small or less populated areas or states would have little or no say in the presidential election. States such as California, New York, Illinois, etc. would essentially select the president.
Come on dummies, wake up and realize that even with elected people who should do as we the people wish, we are often not consulted on how we will be represented.
The latest firearms control bill was voted on by 14 Senators (who in their white togas think they know more than everyone who voted for them). Do you think that Mitt Romney, John Cornyn, Mitch McConnel, Lisa Murkowski, Capito and others from red states consulted their constituency before they voted? HELL NO! Among those who voted for the attack on the 2nd Amendment, were 4 who are ruptured de-nutted lame ducks, these are Toomey, Portman, Blunt and Burr.
The "We the People" of Utah, Alaska, Texas, West Viginia, Kentucky and Louisiana should take control of their "God Given Right" and spay and neuter Romney, Coryn, McConnel, Murkowski, Capito and Cassidy. While at it, why not snip their vocal cords?
