The fastest way to shut down illegal "Sanctuary Cities" would be to withhold all monies from the federal government for transportation projects and subsidies to such cities.
The New York Subways would grind to a halt, The Los Angeles light rail would stop at the county lines, the Chicago "EL" would drop into Lake Michigan, San Francisco's BART would be stuck under the bay.
Yes, their would be a huge public out cry about hurting hard working Americans and it would be justified as long as it was directed towards the law breaking sanctuary cites.
